A new entry level marking system has been developed by Universal Marking Systems ltd. The ME3000B system utilises electrochemical marking technology which enables the operator to produce a highly visible black mark which is virtually stress free and permanent or a below surface etch type mark on most conductive metal surfaces. It is ideal for low to medium volume marking for part numbers, batch numbers/date codes, small logos etc.
The ME3000B has 3 different power settings selectable according to the type of metal and mark to be applied. It also features an electronic overload sensor safety protection device to protect the electronics of the unit, in the event that the marking head is inadvertently touched onto the component without a stencil being in place.
The system is supplied as a kit with all the accessories needed to start marking from the moment of unpacking and plugging in. The kit's innovative design means that it will fit easily on the workbench but can also be easily carried to the component for marking in situ if required. Producing the mark is extremely easy and most marks take 0.5 - 3 secs to apply. Marks from soft to fully hardened metals.
The kit is compatible with most types of marking heads and electrolytes in our catalogue. A range of electrolytes are available for marking different types of metals to ensure the best quality mark is achieved.
