Universal Marking Systems Marks 50 Year Company Anniversary

Friday, 18th October 2013

Universal Marking Systems Ltd is proud to announce that it has achieved a significant milestone by marking the 50th anniversary of its founding. Managing Director, Jeff Sawdy, reflected on the past 50 years by saying, “UMS was founded to develop, manufacture and provide the best marking systems covering the key technologies to suit the customer application and we have maintained that focus throughout our 50 year history.” Jeff is enthusiastic about the future saying, “We really enjoy the business of understanding our customers’ exact requirements, and rarely are two applications the same. This requires years of industry experience and in depth technical knowledge, and that’s where our experience is invaluable.”

UMS have been at the forefront of industrial marking technology since its inception and pioneered electrochemical marking which has stood the test of time, continuing to be developed to deliver low cost but high quality marking and still enjoying significant growth. From the start we have always worked closely with customers and listened to their needs. We have created an evolving and unmatched suite of electrochemical marking products and supply and support the robust, high precision SIC dot marking and laser systems that customers can rely on to meet their most demanding marking applications. We serve UK customers from our headquarters in Feltham and our Sheffield office and across the globe with support from a network of distributors. There are many good reasons to be excited about the future of UMS and we are looking forward to our next 50 years!
